Health and Safety Inspections using eHandS Health and Safety Software

eHandS health and safety software allows you to perform safety inspections in two ways, Safety Inspections or Safety Checklists.

A Safety Inspection is a free form template that allows you to record all the things you find wrong in an area as you inspect that area. This could include housekeeping issues, such as boxes blocking fire escapes, or procedural issues, such as staff not wearing hearing protection, as well as their short-comings in your safety arrangements, such as a lack of warning notices or lack of procedures.

For each item recorded you can assign the severity of the issue and assign responsibility for the recorded corrective action. The eHandS health and safety software then automatically generates an email informing that person of that action as well as the target completion date for the action.

The advantage of this approach is unlimited flexibility in recording short-comings in your health and safety system. The limitation is that it needs to be performed by a health and safety professional, or at least somebody with a reasonable knowledge of health and safety requirements.
