Fleet Safety & Security Manager - Caledonian MacBrayne

Based at our office in Gourock, within the Safety, Environmental & Security Department and reporting to the Safety Environmental & Security Manager, you will be responsible for providing professional support to the team for all safety and security matters. You will also participate in the formulation of the department strategy.

An experienced, self starting, customer focused individual, you will have a track record in people management skills with the ability to participate in a team where the promotion of a challenging and appreciative working environment that encourages strength, innovation, creativity and open mindedness are our primary objectives.

You will liaise with line management and vessel crews to give guidance and support on all safety, security and appropriate legislative matters. To achieve this you will travel within the fleet network on a regular basis.

In addition, you will have experience of auditing management systems complying with the requirements of ISM Code, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Experience of procedure writing would be an advantage.

You will be familiar with relevant MCA regulations, passenger certificates and muster lists and will have experience of incident management and investigation techniques.
